The marginalized farmers constitute the majority and they are the ones who are most deprived. They are affected by numerous factors that affect their livelihood. Whereas the big farmers have better livelihood and have basic amenities in life.
The factors that affect the agriculture are:
a. Climate: Climate makes agriculture vulnerable. As the seasonal changes are frequent, and the farmers dependent solely upon agriculture are mostly hit by either drought or flood.
b. The market is an important economic factor in agriculture. The distance from the market determines the cost of transportation.
c. The poor farmers do not have enough money to bear the cost of transportation, of their grown-up products.
d. Purchase of machinery, fertilizers, pesticides and high yielding variety seeds require plenty of money. In India, the farmers are poor.
Debate

a. compost and manure are generally free or very low cost for the most farmer
b. contain significant amounts of micronutrients in addition to macronutrients such as N, P, and K.
chemical fertilizers are derived from a chemical manufacturing or synthesizing process. Some examples are urea
a. They have a high level of nutrients, and less labor is needed.
b. It helps in knowing which fertilizer and nutrient are required for the specific soil type.
