What are the important minerals available in Karnataka?

Karnataka is home to various mineral resources. It has rich deposits in Iron ore, Manganese, Gold, and Bauxite. Other minerals like limestone, copper, chromite, asbestos, granite, mica are also found in plenty. Karnataka stands first in the production of gold, thus commonly known as ‘Land of Gold’, second in the production of Manganese as well as production of Iron ore and Bauxite in India.
