Write about Sri Narayan Guru and Tara bai Shinde's role in society.

a. Sree Narayana Guru belonged to the Ezhava caste in Kerala. He proclaimed the ideals of Unity for the people. He was completely against the concept of caste discrimination and promoted equality among all. He believed that all humans belong to the same caste.

b. In the 1880s, many women began to enter University. They began to write and publish critical views on the place of women in society. Tarabhai Shinde was one such woman from Poona. She wrote a book called Stripurushtulna,i.e, A comparison between a man and a woman. She criticised the differences faced by both the genders.
