Why is land decreasing under permanent pastures?

Pasture is land used for grazing. Land used to grow grasses or other herbaceous forage, either grown naturally or through cultivation is known as permanent pasture.

Land is decreasing under permanent because of the following reasons. These reasons are:

*Due to increase in population in an uncontrollable rate.

*Needs for food is increased.

*People use pasture land for making houses.

*They use the land for agricultural purpose.

*Construction of dams and highways also decreases pasture land.
