Write the functions of three different types of RNA transcribed in bacteria.
The three different types of RNA transcribed in a bacteria are- mRNA (messenger RNA), tRNA (transfer RNA) and rRNA (ribosomal RNA).
Functions of these RNA-
i. mRNA- This provides the template/ DNA sequence to be transcribed. This transcribes the genetic code from DNA into a readable form that can be used to make proteins.
ii. tRNA- This brings the amino acids which are later joined together and processed to make proteins. It also reads the genetic code.
iii. rRNA- It directs the translation of mRNA into proteins thereby acting as a catalyst and playing a catalytic role.
