Tertiary sector is not playing any significant role in the development of Indian economy is not appropriate because it plays a significant role in Indian economy Because of tertiary sectors people are employed. This is only sector where more and more job opportunities are found and every kind of jobs especially in urban areas. Tertiary sector is known as service sector also which means its main work is to provide services and because of service providing more and more people is engaged here in this sector. This sector has contributed vastly to the Indian economy not presently but from the last 20 years. If we look in the past 10 years then the fields of technology and information has grown up widely, not only this but the GDP share of the tertiary sector grown about 40% in 1973 and more than 50% in 2003. As well as it also plays an important role in the development of primary and secondary sectors.
