The diagonals of a rhombus are 16 cm and 12 cm. Find the length of each side of the rhombus.
10 cm
Rhombus forms four congruent right triangles.
Sides of each triangle will be half of rhombus diagonals. i.e. 16/2 = 8 cm and 12/2 = 6 cm
According to Pythagoras theorem,
a2 = b2 + c2
a2 = 82 + 62
a = √ (82+62)
a = √ (64+36)
a = √ 10
a = 10 cm
So, Sides of rhombus is 10cm.
