Give reason for the following:
The arteries are deep seated in the body.
The arteries are deep seated in the body because the arteries on account of their elastic muscular walls distend every time blood is forced through them due to contraction of the heart. This continuous contraction and relaxation may develop cracks in the walls. They are deep seated in the body surrounded by tissues on all the sides which provide support to their walls during contraction and relaxation thus preventing their walls from developing cracks.
