What is the role of the brain in reflex action?

Reflex actions are sudden autonomous movement which is not under the control of an individual. For example if we touch the hot object, we suddenly withdraw our hands without thinking, like a sudden jerk. We feel hot and move back our hand because of input or sensory nerve which sends information about high temperature. Brain evaluates the situation and sends responses to effector or output nerve and our hand moves back without thinking which is a reflex action.
