Nylon -6

It is manufactured by heating caprolactum with water at a high temperature.

(ii) Melamine – formaldehyde polymer

Melamine formaldehyde polymer is manufactured by the condensation polymerisation of melamine and formaldehyde.

(iii) Teflon

(Polytetrafluoroethene)

Teflon is manufactured by heating tetrafluoroethene with a free radical or persulphate catalyst at high pressures.
