A diver is able to cut through water in a swimming pool. Which property of matter does this observation show?

Water is a liquid state of matter. The particles in water have intermolecular spaces and forces of attraction are not very strong. The forces of attraction keep the particles of water together but are not strong enough to hold the particles in its fixed position. Particles of water are able to move freely. By applying some force, a diver is able to overcome the forces of attraction among the water molecules. As a result, a diver is able to cut through water in the swimming pool.
