Which kind of mirrors are used in the headlights of a motorcar and why?

A concave mirror is used in the headlight of a car because concave mirror is a converging mirror. In headlights the bulb is kept at the focus of the mirror, due to which the rays emerging from the bulb after reflection from the mirror becomes parallel to the principal axis hence we get the powerful beam of light which can go to farther distances.
