Explain how deforestation leads to reduced rainfall.
Deforestation is the removal of trees from an area for industrial, agricultural or other purposes. Plants absorb CO2 from the atmosphere. If plants are destroyed, the level of carbon dioxide will increase in the atmosphere which lead to global warming as carbon dioxide traps the heat rays reflected by the earth. The increase in temperature on the earth will disturbs the natural water cycle. As a result of disruption in the water cycle, there will be change in the rainfall pattern.
