What is the meaning of alleged misrule introduced by Lord Dalhousie?

Policies of Lord Dalhousie:

1. He introduced the Doctrine of Lapse where the British could annex a kingdom whose ruler dies without a male heir.

2. Many kingdoms like Jhansi, Satara, Nagpur etc. were annexed that way.

3. When British took over Awadh, they blamed “misgovernance” or misrule on the Nawab despite the love people had for Nawab.

4. Doctrine of Lapse became an administrative manoeuvre for annexing territories.
