Draw a triangle ABC with side BC = 6 cm, AB = 5 cm and ABC = 60°. Then construct a triangle whose sides are of the corresponding sides of the triangle ABC.

Steps of construction:

i. Now in order to make a triangle, draw a line segment AB = 5 cm.

ii. Construct a 60o angle from point B and then draw BC = 6 cm.

iii. Join A C to get the triangle ABC.

iv. Now, dividing the base, draw a ray at an acute angle from BA.s

v. Plot 4 points on BA so that BB1 = B1B2 = B2B3 = B33B4.

vi. Join B4 to point A.

vii. Draw a line from B3such that it is parallel to B4A so that it meets AB at point A’.

viii. Draw A’C’ || AC.

Triangle A’C’B is the required triangle.
