Explain the ‘Ex-situ conservation’ of Biodiversity. How is the in-situ conservation different from it?


‘Ex-situ conservation of biodiversity – is an approach where in the threatened animals and plants are separated from their natural habitat and are placed in special care area where they are given special care and attention needed. Examples of Ex-situ are zoological parks, botanical gardens and wildlife safari parks.
