Describe the causes of road accidents.


Road accidents occur when road users fail to follow the traffic rules and signals which not only results in loss of life of people but also damage their and public property. The causes of road accidents are as follows:


Increase in speed limit: Increase in the speed limit of vehicle results in out of control of the vehicle as the driver finds it hard to control the speed on time thus, applies sudden brakes.


Running red right: At times, because in hurry drivers intentionally crosses RED light which results in disturbing the balance of the vehicle.


Intoxicated: Under the influence of alcohol, drivers lose the ability to see and function properly which led to out of control of the vehicle.


Reckless Driving: Rash driving often led to speeding of the vehicle.


Unsafe lane changes: Sudden change of the lane in other directions generally to escape traffic leads to road accidents.


Improper turns: Taking turns in different directions proved fatal.


Distraction: While taking a phone call or operating phone while driving results in distractions among drivers.


Fog: Fog results in reducing the quality of vision.


Street racing: With turbo engines and nitrous oxide boosters cars often reach to very high speed during racing.
