In which state of matter are these materials?

There are five known phases or states in which the material comes out. The matter or material which comes out of a volcano during a volcanic eruption is either solid like rocks and other solid fragments or liquid which is molten magma or lava or gases like gaseous sulphur compounds and in the form of water vapors like steam.
