Discuss why Nazism became popular in Germany by 1930.

Nazism was a political system introduced by Hitler in Germany to establish dictatorship, which propagated extreme hatred against the Jews.

Some of the main causes of the rise and popularity of Nazism in Germany were


(i) The humiliating Versailles Treaty created a need to avenge the defeat of the First World War and restore the old prestige of Germany.


(ii) There was grave economic crisis in Germany and Hitler promised the people prosperity and peace.


(iii) Due to the Weimar Republic being weakened, Hitler cook the opportunity and inspired the people.


(iv) Hitler had a strong personality and mass appeal, which contributed a lot to the popularity of Nazism in Germany.
