What was the impact of the print revolution on religion?

Emergence of print culture had a great impact on the religious field especially in Europe. Print created a circulation of ideas and introduced a new world of debate and discussion. In 1517, the religious reformer Martin Luther wrote ninety-five Theses criticizing many of the practices and rituals of the Roman Catholic Church. It challenged the church to debate his ideas. This led to the division of church and to the beginning of Protestant Reformation
