Q8 of 35 Page 9

Suppose the acceleration due to gravity at a place is 10 m/s2.

Find its value in cm/(minute)2.

1 meter of length contains 100 centimeters i.e. 1m = 100 cm

So 10 meters should contain 10 × 100 cm

10 m = 1000 cm = 103 cm …(i)

1 minute contains 60 seconds so 1 second is of a minute

1 minute = 60 seconds 1 second = minute

(1 second)2 = minute2 = minute2

10 m/s2 =
