Reason(R): Resistivity of an alloy is generally higher than that of its constituent metals but the alloys have low melting points then their constituent metals.


Alloys always show high resistivity than pure original metal but have relatively low melting point; therefore, not ideal for the use in heating device such as iron or immersion rod.
