Q13 of 55 Page 33

If , find the value of x.

Given,

We know that,

25 = 5 × 5 = 52

125 = 5 × 5 × 5 = 53

= 53 = 5[(2x+1) -2] = 53

5[(2x+1)-2] = 5[2x-1] = 53

= 2x - 1 = 3

2x = 3 + 1 = 4

∴ x = 2
