A man purchased some eggs at Rs.3 for 16 and sold them at Rs.5 for 36. Thus, he gained Rs.168 in all. How many eggs did he purchase?

Let the numbers of egg is x.


CP of egg = Rs.16x/3


SP of egg = Rs.36x/5


Gain = SP - CP


=168



So, the numbers of egg are 90.
