How many spherical lead shots of diameter 4 cm can be made out of a solid cube of lead whose edge measures 44 cm.

Volume of cube = a3 where, a = side of cube


For cubical lead ;


side, a = 44 cm


Volume of lead = 44(44)(44) cm3



For spherical shots,


Diameter = 4 cm


Radius, r = 2 cm


[As radius = diameter/2]



Now,



So, 2541 bullets can be made from lead.
