Given,


Radius of sphere = 3 cm


Volume of sphere = πr3 = × π × 3 × 3 × 3cm3 = 36π cm3


Radius of small sphere = cm = 0.3 cm


Volume of small sphere = × π × 0.3 × 0.3 × 0.3cm3


= cm3


Let the number of small balls be n;


n × = × π × 3 × 3 × 3


n = 1000


Hence, the number of small balls = 1000
