The marked price of a ceilling fan is Rs. 1250 and the shopkeeper allows a discount of 6% on it. Find selling price of a fan. 

Marked price = Rs. 1250 Discount = 6% of MP
            = Rs. SP = MP - Discount
   = Rs. 1250 - 75 = Rs. 1175.
