If you find coliform bacteria in a sample of water collected from a river, what would you conclude? Give a reason for such kind of water pollution.

Water is polluted by sewage. Coliform bacteria are found in the human intestine and its presence indicates the presence of other disease-causing microbes. If untreated sewage is discharged into water bodies then this type of water pollution occurs.
