Q3 of 8 Page 112

What causes the element of surprise when the child comes on the scene of ‘adult reconciling’?

The writer is very happy that he forgot his childhood which was boring. Now he transformed into a child and is enjoying the nature around him. He is happy to see the adults reconciling just like a child who doesn’t know what is happening but smiles just because the adults are happy. Here the writer might have wanted to display the innocence of a child.
