State Commission for Protection of Child Rights:

1. Set up in 2005, it aims at protection, promotion and defense of child rights in every state.

2. It comprises of a Chairperson and six members out of which at least one has to be a woman.

3. It looks into child rights violation, recommends state government about safeguards to implement, creates awareness, conducts research etc.
