If you are given a dry piece of land for cultivation what will you do before sowing the seeds?

Before sowing the seeds in a dry piece of land we should first prepare the soil for a proper yield of crops. Preparation of soil includes loosening and tilling the soil (ploughing), watering, leveling the soil, adding manures and fertilizers.
