(a) It is necessary to maintain all-equipped armed forces because there can be an attack on the country anytime. Attack from the country with which there is a conflict or a terrorist attack can kill and harm many citizens. So the forces must be always prepared.

(b) The Border Security Force takes care of the security along the borders and patrols it. It also regulates trade to prevent smuggling. Its main function is to stop anything or anyone who can harm the country from crossing the borders.

(c) Rapid Action Force takes care of the management of natural or manmade disasters and assists the army. It also looks after important but high-risk places like oil fields, railway stations, water reservoirs etc. It plays a vital role whenever there is a crisis or calamity in any region of the country.
