If a point Q lies between two points P and R such that PQ = QR, prove that PQ = 1/2 PR.

Given, a point Q lies between 2 points P and R such that PQ = QR.



Adding PQ on both sides,


⇒ PQ + PQ = QR + PQ


⇒ 2PQ = PR


∴ PQ = 1/2 PR


Hence proved.
