Formula:

(i) Substituting x₁ = 60 y₁ = 75 and x₂ = 20 in the formula,

Gives y₂ = 25 km

∴The train will move 25km in 20 minutes

(ii) Substituting x₁ = 60 y₁ = 75 and y₂ = 250 in the formula,

Gives x₂ = 200 minutes or 3 hours 20 minutes

∴The time required to cover a distance of 250km is 3 hours 20 minutes.
