Write the rationalizing factor of the following.

Given, 2 + √3

Need to find the rationalizing factor

⇒ We know that if the product of two surds is rational then each is called a rationalizing factor of each other

⇒ (2 + √3)(2– √3)

= 4 + 2√3 –2√3 –3

= 1 is a rational number

∴ Rationalizing factor of (2+√3) is (2 – √3)
