Why are wildlife sanctuaries important for the conservation of plants and animals?

A wildlife sanctuary is a protected area for animals in their natural habitat where there is no disturbance to animals and their habitat. Activities like plantation, cultivation, grazing, cutting of trees, hunting, poaching etc. are prohibited in these areas. It does not allow any human activity that disturbs wild animals or their habitats. So wildlife sanctuaries are important for the conservation of plants and animals.
