Q21 of 44 Page 334

A body has a face area of 100 cm and a mass of 100 N is placed on the table. What pressure is it exerting on the table?

Given,
Area of body= 100 cm2
Mass = 100 kg
Weight =mass × accn. due to gravity
Weight=100 kg ×10 ms-2
Weight=1000 N
Here, the force is applied by the weight of the body.
