Differentiate between Thermal Metamorphism and Dynamic Metamorphism.

Thermal metamorphism: Due to high temperature, the original rocks transform into other state or other forms, this phenomenon is said to be thermal metamorphism. The high temperature may be from the intrusion of hot magma or friction due to the movement of rock layers. It can also be caused due to chemical changes.

e.g. graphite- made from coal. Slate- made from clay.

Dynamic metamorphism: When the transformation in the rock that takes place due to high pressure at a great depth in the earth’s crust, it is known as dynamic metamorphism.
