The temperatures of a place depend largely upon its latitude. Explain

0⁰ latitude is equator. It is the closest latitude to the Sun. As we move further towards north or south towards higher latitudes the distance of those latitudes from Sun keep on increasing. Also, the rays of the Sun are almost perpendicular around the equator which results into more heating. These rays fall at an angle near the poles which does not increase the temperature in that region.
