Why was Akbar keen on making Rani Durgawati a vassal of the Mughal Empire?

Rani Durgavati:

1. Gond Raja Dalpat, Rani Durgawati’s husband, died when his son was just 5 years old.

2. She started to rule on behalf of her son and was an able ruler.

3. The prosperity of her kingdom attracted Akbar and Asaf Khan attacked her kingdom.

4. Although she defended well, she was finally defeated and chose to die instead of surrendering.
