Leaders of Nagpur, Lucknow, Delhi and Gwalior in 1857 revolt.

The revolt of 1857 is an important event in the history of Independence of India. The revolt of 1857 started because the Enfield Rifles which the Indian soldiers were used, said to have cartridges which had grease made of beef and pork which ultimately led to the beginning of the 1857 revolt. Even though the revolt was a failure in achieving its objectives but it gave rise to many leaders. The leaders of the following in 1857 revolt are:-


1) Nagpur – Begum Hazrat Mahal


2) Lucknow – Nana Saheb


3) Delhi – Bahadur Shah


4) Gwalior – Jayajirao Sindhia
