A tailor needs 18m of cloth to stitch 9 shirts of the same size. How much cloth will he need to stitch 15 shirts?

Given: - Cloth needed to stitch 9 shirts = 18m


To find: - Cloth needed to stitch 15 such shirts


Now To stitch 9 shirts = 18m cloth needed


Therefore, To stitch 1 shirt = (18 9)m cloth needed


= 2m cloth needed


Therefore, to stitch 15 shirt = (15 x 2)m


= 30m
