Divide Rs. 1575 between Kamal and Madhu in the ratio 7:2.

Given:- Total money for division = Rs 1575

Now as money to be distributed between Kamal and Madhu in ratio 7:2

Tip:- x be the number which on multiplying with 7 and 2 give actual value of money divided.

So, Let, ratios be 7 x and 2 x

⇒ 7x + 2x = 1575

⇒ 9x = 1575

⇒ x = 1575 / 9

⇒ x = 175

Now by putting the value of x in ratio

7x = 7 × 175

= 1225

And 2x = 2 × 175

= 350

Hence, Kamal will get Rs. 1225 and Madhu will get Rs. 350
