The public facilities are important and the government must carry the responsibility of providing these to the public.

Providing public facilities to the people is an important function of the government.

The public facilities include water supply, electricity connection, road facility, transportation, well-planned sewerage system, drainage system etc are some that must be ensured by the government to any locality.

These are important because these facilities are utilized every day by the public, hence important to be maintained.

Example: If the potholes of the roads are left open then the chances of occurrence of accidents increases. Similarly, if there is no proper sewerage planning in a locality then the chances of health hazard like malaria etc increases.
