Q9 of 14 Page 155

If you try to hold a glass with soapy hands, it slips. Why?

It is difficult to hold a glass with soapy hands because soap acts as a lubricant. On the hands it blocks the ridges of our skin and makes it smooth. Glass itself has a smooth surface. The force of friction between a soapy hand and a glass is very less for a tight grip, and hence there are high chances of slipping.
