Bones are comprised of Collagen,(a protein, that gives a delicate structure) and Calcium Phosphate, they are living, growing tissue. They are made out of basic cells called osteoclasts that resort bone tissues and cells called osteoblasts that store new bone tissue separated from a couple of extra biological capacities.

Yes, bones are considered to be living tissue. They are highly vascular with rich blood supply. They are called living because of these two reasons:

a) They are the home of the bone marrow, which is the production house of new blood cells like erythrocytes, lymphocytes, and thrombocytes.

b) In addition there is a continuous loss of calcium from bones accompanied by a continuous deposition of calcium. they are constantly being reshaped during life by the osteoblasts, bone cells which add calcium, and osteoclasts, bone cells which remove it. This resurfacing happens to keep the bone healthy and also because bones are a storage place in the body for calcium, which is a necessary element in certain biological processes.
