What will happen if tigers vanish from our forests?

If tigers vanish from our forests, it would disturb the ecosystem by disturbing the food chain. Tigers are placed at the top of the food chain. A tiger is a carnivore which feeds on herbivores like deer. If there is no tiger, there would be no check in the number of deer. As a result the quantity of grass would significantly decrease because the deer feed on grass.
