What solutions would you suggest to the fishermen to not depend on the middlemen for money?

Middlemen in the primary sector tend to take away the rightful money of the farmers and fishermen. The fishermen in particular need to become financially independent. Secondly, they should unite and operate under a cooperative system so that they can market their products directly in the market. Thirdly, such cooperatives would control and regulate the prices of the goods in the market and distribute the profits among the fisherman. Fourthly, these cooperatives should provide for the work during the off seasons so that flow of income could be maintained and fishermen do not suffer.
