Q2 of 7 Page 59

Both the developed and developing countries are releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. As a result, many disasters are happening. Collect information pictures and discuss a severe consequence in the classroom.

Greenhouse effect results from the excess accumulation of GHGs in the atmosphere which results in excessive heating of the Earth. This greenhouse effect keeps the Earth warm enough to sustain life. But in recent times, the GHGs like carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, water vapour have exceeded the desired limits.

The carbon dioxide that accumulates in the atmosphere insulates the surface of the Earth. It's like a warming blanket that holds in heat. This energy increases the Earth's surface average temperature, heats the oceans and melts polar ice. As consequences, sea level rises and weather changes.
