Many logos and certifications give assurance to consumers while purchasing goods and services. ISI mark is to be looked at while purchasing a bag of cement. It was developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards and came to effect in 1955. It is also used to standardise items like switches, wires, cables, household applications, LPG cylinders and tyres.
